The Women’s Wing of the Institution of Engineers (India), Qatar Chapter, has officially announced its newly elected Executive Committee following a successful internal election process. The formation of the committee marks a significant step in empowering women engineers within the chapter and strengthening their role in the engineering community in Qatar.

Er. Dilba has been elected as President, with Er. Busna serving as Vice President. The position of Secretary is held by Er. Saheeda, while Er. Thasnim and Er. Sufiya have been appointed as Joint Secretaries for Events and Technical affairs, respectively. Er. Samu Thangadurai takes charge as Treasurer.

In key supporting roles, Er. Meenu Chauhan has been named Strategic and Planning Coordinator, Er. Afila as Membership Coordinator, Er. Kritika as Sports Coordinator, Er. Lulu as Public Relations (PR) Coordinator, and Er. Noor Afza as Education Coordinator.

The committee will be supported by subcommittee members who will contribute to various focus areas. Er. Dishari will be part of the Events Team; Er. Jasna and Er. Shruthi will support Membership and PR activities; while Er. Anjali Monish and Er. Anjali Joy will assist with Strategic and Planning initiatives.

The newly formed team is expected to lead a series of impactful programs, technical events, and networking opportunities aimed at promoting professional development and collaborative growth among women engineers in Qatar. The IEI Qatar Chapter extended its congratulations to all elected members and expressed confidence in their ability to contribute meaningfully to the chapter’s ongoing progress.
